A head trader on the commercial mortgage-backed securities desk at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc is no longer with the investment bank, the company said on Thursday. The executive, John Beaman, is no longer with the company. No reason for his departure was given. Sometimes a reason puts an end to speculation, but sometimes no reason is needed. We will let you decide why Beaman is no longer with the company.
Was Beaman fired, asked to resign, or did he give in to peer pressure, glares, and stares? Beaman is no longer with the company, as if he disappeared like something from the X-Files. Political correctness indicates it is not a case of spending one’s paycheck at the bar, thus failing to show up for work for a few days. Another area to consider, however, are bond ratings. Let the finger pointing begin. We didn’t even hear the normal spin which is ‘to spend more time with the family’. (We will file this report under ‘job losses’.)
